Apple on Tuesday rolled out a fresh new look for its online store, with a dedicated “Store” tab that makes everything easier to find. The company calls it “the best way to buy the products you love.”
The dedicated Store tab was removed from Apple.com during an earlier redesign in 2014. Since then, the shopping experience has been nowhere near as seamless, with things like accessories a lot more difficult to find.
With the return of the Store tab and a brand-new look for the dedicated Store section, finding the products you want to buy is now quicker and easier.
Meet the new Apple Store online
When you visit Apple.com today, you’ll see the Store now has its very own tab at the top of the site. Inside the Store itself, there’s a carousel that lets you quickly access sections for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more.
Products that didn’t have their own Store sections before — like AirPods, AirTag, HomePod, and accessories — are now a lot simpler to find. You no longer need to dig around inside different product pages to find them.
The Store’s landing page also highlights new products as well as promotions — such as the student discount. Further down, you’ll find links to Genius and Specialist support, Today at Apple sessions, and more.
When you select a product category, you are presented with all the different models and a link to accompanying accessories. Product pages also have “shopping guides,” “ways to save,” and “setup and support” sections.
It’s better on mobile
The new look takes some inspiration from the Apple Store app, and thanks to its many horizontal scrolling sections, it seems to work better on a touchscreen device than it does on a desktop. But we’re not complaining.
It’s about time the Store section returned to Apple.com, and it makes shopping for what you want a much more enjoyable experience.
