Mr. Corman, the new series starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, just got its very first trailer ahead of its Apple TV+ debut. The two-minute clip gives us a taste of what’s to come from the “darkly funny, oddly beautiful” comedy.
Mr. Corman sees Gordon-Levitt, who also writes and directs the show, play an “artist at heart but not by trade.” He teaches fifth grade at a public school in the San Fernando Valley after a career in music didn’t pan out.
The series follows Josh Corman after his ex-fiancĆ© Megan moves out and his high school buddy Victor moves in. It shows him struggling with anxiety, loneliness, and “a sinking suspicion that he sucks as a person.”

“Darkly funny, oddly beautiful and deeply heartfelt, this relatable dramedy speaks for our contemporary generation of 30-somethings: rich with good intentions, poor with student loans, and yearning to become real grown-ups sometime before they die,” reads Apple’s press release for the show.
Alongside Gordon-Levitt, Mr Corman features Arturo Castro, Debra Winger, Bobby Hall aka Logic, Alexander Jo, Juno Temple, Jamie Chung, Shannon Woodward, and Hector Hernandez.
The first trailer, below, gives us a taste of what we can expect from the show.
Mr. Corman is scheduled to make its debut on Apple TV+ this Friday, August 6. The first two episodes will be available initially, followed by one new episode every Friday for eight weeks.
Apple TV+ is priced at $4.99 a month, with a seven day free trial for new customers. For a limited time, those who purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac can enjoy three months of Apple TV+ for free.
