Two Apple TV+ shows won Primetime Emmy Awards on Wednesday. For All Mankind: Time Capsule won for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Media while Calls won for Outstanding Motion Design.

These juried awards were announced ahead of the regular Emmy ceremony that’s happening in mid-September.

For All Mankind: Time Capsule is an augmented reality application based on the Apple TV+ sci-fi series. It lets users virtually handle objects from the alternate-history show about a space race to the Moon that never took place.

Calls uses audio and minimal abstract visuals to tell bone-chilling stories. Each episode follows a mystery that unfolds through a series of seemingly average, unconnected phone conversations that quickly become surreal.

These Emmy awards are voted on by a panel of professionals rather than the full membership of the Screen Actors Guild.

Two seasons of For All Mankind are available to Apple TV+ subscribers. And there’s one season of Calls.

Maybe not the only Emmys for Apple TV+

The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is set for Sunday, September 19. Apple TV+ landed 35 Emmy Award nominations this year, including a historic 20 nominations for Ted Lasso, which broke records by becoming the most nominated comedy series this year, and the most nominated freshman comedy series ever.
