StarTech.com now offers a new USB-C hub for preorder with more than the average range of features. Its new Quad Monitor USB-C Dock drives up to four displays at 60Hz apiece and offers six other ports to turn your computer into a powerhouse.
Quad Monitor Dock: driven displays and more
The new hub allows macOS, Windows and Chrome OS users to run up to four monitors at once. And each of the four displays can run at up to 4K with a 60Hz refresh rate. Not every hub can claim that. The hub’s four HDMI outputs match up with its four DisplayPort slots, and you can mix and match among those.
As an alternative to the four-display capability, StarTech.com’s new hub can drive two 5K monitors or one 5K along with dual 4K displays.

And if that’s not impressive enough, the hub offers three 5Gbps USB-A ports, one 10Gbps USB-C input, Gigabit Ethernet, AUX, and even 100W pass-through charging power for laptops and such via the main USB-C port.
A rather robust price tag
The StarTech.com Quad Monitor USB-C Dock is available for preorder at $427.99. Hint: If you wondered where the catch for such capability might lie, it’s in the stout price point. This thing isn’t cheap. Shipments are scheduled to start on September 13.
